Veeam Backup & Replication with VMWare

Hello everybody,

I have a question about Veeam Backup and VmWare :

Does the licence "vStorage API" (contained in the "Essential Kit") is essential in order to use Veeam Backup & Replication ?

If "Yes", i don't know why ...?

We have in my business 2 ESX servers with 2 VM on each one, with version 4.1.

We will buy VeeamBackup but i wonder if we need to buy also the Essential Kit ... ?

elise u dont need any api's for veeam to work.

just install as per veeam's instruction configure n u r all set
