Hello dear community
I am in the technical training to become an ICT specialist.
During the implementation and planning of a virtualization environment, I have planned the WSX software for the project.
Later, during the implementation, I realized that the software was no longer being developed. (bad research)
Why was this no longer continued?
Are there alternatives? Or can you work around / fix the problem with the tls certifaktsproblem ?
My search came to nothing
I thank you already for any hints or help.

Hey scott28tt
thank you for your answer.
actually the idea was simple...
To be able to control VM's via the web interface.
For this I only wanted to use the screen transfer and input function to test software from a basic installation and to be able to reset the VM again.
The share function of VMware Worstation 16 I am familiar and would know that someone else can install the WMware software and add the shared VMs.
Only this would have to be done manually each time.
With web interface the shared VM's would be visible in a portfolio.
I have created a short visual drawing.
thanks in advance
So you definitely want to use VMware Workstation to run the VMs? Not ESXi/vSphere?
Are you not able to use some sort of remote protocol (RDP, VNC) from those other devices to the host system?
The choice of Worstation I have probably made too quickly, because it is actually only a small project.
The goal was the web interface, which I can not bypass without changing the software to ESXi/vSphere, without it becomes a tinkering.
Of course using remote software to connect to the VM's would work.
This was the link where I thought the WSX software could be used for a local deployment.
Until I ran into this error message in the browser.
Shared VMs are now a deprecated feature of Workstation, the current release is the final one which will support them. That may influence your choice of host hypervisor.
