Scheduler and VMs

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand the vmware scheduler.

Can you tell me if the scheduler can run only a whole vm or also a partial vm.

I mean, if I have a vm with 4vCPUs, can the scheduler run only all 4vCPUs at time, or maybe it is possible to have only 2 out 4 vCPUs on run state ?
