Problems installing Windows 2003 with VMware Fusion - Please Help!!

I have successfully installed VMWare Fusion on my computer and was trying to install my store bought version of Windows 2003 student and Teacher Edition, however my Virtual Machine was giving me the error that my windows installation cd was not bootable. I know my computer is reading the Windows CD because when I am closed out of VMWare I can open up the folder and view the contents with no problems. However, once I start my virtual machine through vmware fusion my CD icon disappears completely from my desktop and i receive the error that i need to insert a bootable cd. Can anyone help me get through this issue???

Merely being able to see files on the CD doesn't mean it's bootable. Can you boot a physical computer with the disc?

Documents are for, well, documenting things. Good examples include tips, things you've learned, and things that will help others. Bad examples include questions.

Please start a discussion in the Fusion subforums and delete this document. Doing this will attract more attention to your post (because the default view is discussion-only, and posting in the correct forum will ensure that people who see it are probably interested in the topic) as well as keeping the documents free from clutter.
