I've been finding conflicting blogs and documents on how to properly update the vCenter Virtual Appliance. At first it seemed like the process was to replace it and have the new one take over the role, which seems like an easy process. Others say there is an update function within the appliance. I have also seem some statements that it can be updated via Update Manager. Guides I'm finding from VMware are not helping shed light on this either.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
