What happens if carbon black doesn't officially support a version of MacOS

We are looking at upgrading to the newest version of MacOS Ventura (13.4) however, we had some issues with the upgrade process that the mac sensor .77 wouldn't upgrade on macs that were running 13.3.1 and only 13.3.0. What happens if a host that is running a sensor that doesn't support the OS its on immediately after updates?
