Snapshot with seperate vmdks

If you have seperate vmdk files for a single virtual machine (the vm c:\ drive is on one lun and d:\ drive is on another lun), where does the snapshot get placed? In this case, on the same lun the vmdk representing the c:\ drive? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Logicaly, you place you're snapshot with the system .vmdk (C:/) because in the vmx file you have the way for the C:/ and the D:/ so it's not important where's the snapshoot.

But in the best practice you put it with the system disk.

So if we have c: \drive (25gb) and d:\ drive (500gb), do I calculate 20% (105gb) as the snapshot size? During the snapshot proces, there would be activity on both the system and application luns correct?
