Setting the RAM on VDM

Hello,

I am new to vmware fusion software.

If I up the RAM on my virtual pc will it effect my mac's performance in any way?

Yes - of course.

The more RAM you assign to VMs the less RAM remains for the host

As Continuum correctly states the more ram assigned to the VM's the less for the host, it is a balaning act with the hosted environement, keeping enough RAM available for your Host to remain performant and also giving enough to your Guests to be useful
