Opensource VM performance and compliance tool

Hi All,

From long time i was in search for a opensource tool for my VMware Infra.

the tool should monitor the VM performance and provide VM, OS compliance reports , Compliance means type  of OS installed, type of applications installed on VM,... all..

So that i can trace VM performance and compliance on a single hand.

Does any one know such kind tool available.

You posted this sometime ago. but I'm wondering if you found a suitable tool?

I've done quite a bit of research and testing in this area, unfortunately there is no silver-bullet in the open source arena. The best I could find for "free" was VM Turbo, which has a community edition - http://www.vmturbo.com/product/editions-pricing/

It didn't quite suite my needs as I was looking for more of an advisory tool like vOPs and Veeam One, in the end we settled on vOPs.

I would say the Hyperic is one of the best out there, as always with opensource you will need to spend some time to customize it to your needs:
