Hello,
I have a MD1000 with 15 drives connecting to a MD3000i. I would like to setup raid 5 on the MD1000 but not sure if I should create one big raid group with 14 drives and make smaller virtual disks within or create smaller raid 5 groups with 5 drives each. which would give me better performance? more drives? or less drives in a raid 5? I am using it for VMs of course. I am using it in Lab Manager so it would be doing alot of reading and writing.
