Hello all,

we are selecting hardware for 3 node cluster with vmware essentials plus kit.

Does vmware essentials plus license support adding nvme ssd for host level cache ?

Thanks in advance,

vFRC required Enterprise Plus licensing, but it has been deprecated.

Hello,

Thank you! your link is useful for me. Please help on below if possible.

We plan to deploy Vmware essential plus 3 node hybrid storage cluster with budget on mind.

For hybrid storage on Vsan, plan is 2 disk groups per host to have better speed / data risk , each disk group with 480Gb nvme ssd for cache and 3 SAS 10K for capacity. Do we have to setup raid5 on 3 SAS disks/ raid10 on 4 disks  ?

Will we get better performance by going single disk group per esxi host and have raid10 capacity layer ?, compared to 2 disk groups per host

Note : we expect to use Supermicro X11DDW-NT ,C622 chipset and run latest Esxi version

Thanks in advance!

Sajitha
