DeviceIoControl function behaves abnormal in Windows 2003 virtual machine.

Am new to VM domain and am facing one problem.

I have a situation, where DeviceIoControl function return less data in windows 2003 VM and it doesn't return any error code also. Where as in windows 2000 VM, same function with same parameter, returns proper data.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

DeviceIoControl sends driver-specific information to the device driver, right? The device seen from the physical machine would match the physical device. But in the VM it would match the virtual devices (such as our LSI Logic or BusLogic SCSI adapters.)

First, what device are you trying to interact with? Second, what command are you trying to send?
