Best hardware solution for moving our envoirnment to VM

We are looking to move our servers to VM using ESX.

We have:

1 x Windows 2008 SBS server running AD, Exchange, Sophos

1 x Windows 03 R2 running SQL Server and Kaseya (database of 2GB)

1 x Windows 03 R2 running Quickbooks

1 x Windows 03 R2 running Microsoft Dynamics CRM & SQL Server (database of 3GB)

1 x Windows 03 running Terminal Services

1 x Fedora Box

Looking to put all the above into one Server box and run ESX.

We have about 10 internal users and about 100 customers accessing the CRM server.

What sort of HW should we look at using?

- Dual or Quad core CPU? Intel or AMD? More than one CPU?

- How many HDD and what RAID? SATA or SCSI?

- How much RAM?

If you need more info, please ask. Thanks

Hi

e.g. look for a DELL R710 with QuadCoreCPU and 32 GB RAM.

It would be best to have two servers to create an HA/DRS CLuster.

Ok sou you can have 2 QUadCOre CPU with e.g. 32 GB RAM with an RAID1 with two SAS Drives, if you want to use ESX4.

If you want to use ESXi you can alos take an USB as the boot Device.

But you hardware should be supported by vmware.
