Tengo que convertir un Novell 6.5 físico en un VM de ESX 3.5u3.

He tenido problemas, y no he logrado avanzar.

Alguien conoce un procedimiento, manual, o software adecuado para cumplir con esta tarea?

Step 1: Clone

Use supported third party cloning application (e.g. Portlock Storage Manager, Symantec ServerMagic for Netware)

to clone physical disk(s) to new destination virtual machine’s virtual disk(s)

Step 2: Configure

Utilize Novell Helper VM

Create new Novell VM from scratch to provide source of virtual driver files

Attach new destination virtual disk to Novell Helper VM

Replace key Novell files on destination VM

Copy from \NWSERVER\DRIVERS\

STARTUP.NCF and STARTUP.ORG

SCSIHD. CDM and SCSIHD.DDI

LSIMPTNW.HAM and LSIMPTNW.DDI

Update virtual ethernet adapter

Run Novell INETCFG command and select CNEAMD.LAN driver

Update STARTUP.NCF

Remove unnecessary modules

Correct SLOT parameter values

LOAD ACPIDRV.PSM

1. End PSM Drivers #########

LOAD IDECD.CDM

LOAD SCSIHD.CDM

1. End CDM Drivers ##########

LOAD IDEATA.HAM SLOT=10004
