MV no arranca: Unable to access file since it is locked

Buenas tardes,

En mi empresa tenemos un problema que se nos antoja muy gordo. No somos muy expertos en el tema y la verdad es que ya hemos probado de todo, pero no hay manera... Os explico.

Tenemos una MV con el nombre GestionFlotas. Dicha maquina se ha apagado debido a un problema eléctrico y ya no ha arrancado. El primer mensaje de error que salía era un 'File not found' o algo parecido, y leyendo por internet he visto que se debía a que el archivo VMX hace referencia a un VSWP que no aparece en el directorio donde están los archivos. Quité la referencia que hace el VMX a este archivo editandolo con el Veem dado que leí que no es una línea necesaria (primer error?). La línea en cuestión es esta:

sched.swap.derivedName = "/vmfs/volumes/xxxxx/GestionFlotas/GestionFlotas-73f58f92.vswp"

La cuestión es que ya no sale este error (esperaba un MORTAL MESSAGE pero no), sino que el nuevo mensaje es el de Unable to access file since it is locked. No tengo ningún archivo .lck ni nada parecido tal y como he encontrado por internet, ni sacandolo y metiendolo de nuevo en el inventario...

Adjunto una captura por tal de que os ayude de algo... Y no os asusteis al ver discos sin uso y que ocupan una barbaridad, ya os dije que quien creó la MV no tenía ni idea y que los que ahora la mantenemos tampoco entendemos demasiado...

Hola,

Comprueba que tienes espacio suficiente en el datastore y que en el fichero vmx tienes declarado el valor sched.swap.dir el cual debe apuntar a la misma ubicación donde esta el resto de ficheros de la VM.

Gracias por tu pronta respuesta FerrerDeCouto, pero el problema persiste.

Espacio libre le quedan 81,89Gb y dentro del VMX no tengo nada declarado como sched.swap.dir, lo mas parecido es sched.swap.derivedName, que apunta a un archivo VSWP y que no existe en el directorio donde estan los archivos. He intentado declarar lo que me has dicho de la siguiente forma:

sched.swap.dir = "/vmfs/volumes/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/GestionFlotas"

¿Voy bien?

Vas bien, esa es la estructura que lleva dicho parámetro.

  • sched.swap.dir --> Donde se ha de crear el fichero vswp al iniciar la VM.
  • sched.swap.derivedName --> Se crea dentro del .vmx al iniciar la VM, se elimina dicha línea al apagar la VM (es un nombre autogenerado en cada arranque). Esta línea la puedes dejar eliminada.

Pues sigue sin funcionar, aunque ahora la máquina vuelve a mostrar el mensaje de File was not found. Actualmente está sin la línea sched.swap.derivedName = "/vmfs/volumes/xxxx/GestionFlotas/GestionFlotas-73f58f92.vswp", sólamente tiene puesta la sched.swap.dir = "/vmfs/volumes/488478df-5f7414e0-10aa-00215a47f0c0/GestionFlotas" y muestra ese error...

Hola dascolies:

He estado mirando que también tienes por ahí algún snapshot que has creado hoy mismo. El problema de que no se encuentra fichero es porque falta algún vmdk referenciado. Deberás comprobar el fichero .vmx completo y ver si están todos los ficheros declarados en él en el directorio de la VM.

También deberás seguir lo más probable el KB1003743.

Me da que nos estamos acercando, pero aún nos falta alguna cosa... Ahora, editando el archivo VMDK que usa como disco he visto esto:

El archivo GestionFlotas-000001.vmdk no existía, dado que en lugar de copiarlo para hacer una copia de todos los archivos (por si las moscas) lo he movido (sí, puedes decirlo, pero que buuuuuuuuurro.....). Ahora he subido el archivo GestionFlotas-000001.vmdk y el error que muestra es:

Cannot open the disk 'vmfs/volumes/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/GestionFlotas/GestionFlotas-000002.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Reason: The file specified is not a virtual disk.

En el enlace que me comentas sale como recuperar el VMDK, el problema es que habla de crearlo de nuevo teniendo en cuenta el tamaño del archivo flat, que como verás no tenemos. No sé si en nuestro caso se traduce al tamaño del archivo delta, pero no nos funciona este paso dado que no hay flat por ningun lado... que locuraa!

Hola dascolies:

El problema lo tienes en GestionFlotas-000001.vmdk, sigue el siguiente KB1002511, el cual estab enlazado en uno de los que te di antes.
