vcenter is not deploying the ova file, why??

just got the EA email and trying to install skyline VM.

my notebook and vCenter are on same LAN but the ova has been sitting for almost 15 minutes at 0%.

must I start completely over again??

refreshing vCenter does nothing.

Hi Tom,

I understand that we have issues with deploying the skyline ovf template from Vcenter. This seems to be an issue with Vcenter.I would recommend opening a support ticket with our Vcenter team to troubleshoot this issue.

That's some kind of BAD!!

VMware's own software won't install on VMware's own software.

I'll try one more time with the Flash UI.

Opening a case would lose my EA status.

Thanks for taking up my call and confirming that deployment is complete after using the flash client.As agreed you can go a head and complete the registration process and lets is know if you have any questions.

now VMware's site refuses to give me any EA number information, why??

VMware needs to have its site working properly.

furthermore, referring to a KB article is unacceptable.

always give SPECIFIC instructions and examples right ON the page where this is requested.

everything is completed, now it is apparently running properly.

flash interface worked for deployment

had to use FQDN of vCenter and allow old/invalid/etc. certificates

all seems well now and will review the appliance again tomorrow according to the user guide
