vRO Skyline Collector showing "Communication Issues" since upgrade

Since upgrading vROM to 8.6.0 (18741589) it is showing its collector in Skyline as having "Communication Issues". However, if I login into vROM and go to Data Sources > Integrations I can see the "Skyline Adapter" and the the Status shows OK; validating the connection also states "Test connection successful."

Hello @Leeii15,

Welcome to Skyline Communities!

The communication issue for an endpoint occurs due to either of the following reasons (for more information, refer to https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/75268)

  • There is an issue with the account used to add the product to the Skyline Collector. The account password may be expired, or the account is disabled. Edit the product in the Skyline Collector user interface to update the account.

                                                                                                           OR

  • The product certificate has been updated. In this instance, the Skyline Collector needs to accept the new certificate. Edit the product in the Skyline Collector user interface, including re-entering the account name and password to accept the new product certificate.

To resolve the communication issue, we request you to kindly re-configure the vROPS endpoint with Skyline Collector.

Please refer to the following steps to re-configure the endpoint:

  1. Login to the Skyline Collector UI page (https://IP_OF_COLLECTOR_OR_FQDN).
  2. Go to Configuration Tab.
  3. In the left pane under Products, Select vRealize Operations.
  4. In the right pane, click on Edit.
  5. Re-enter the password in the password field.
  6. Click Update.
  7. Click Continue on the new Thumbprint message.

After completing the above-mentioned steps, the vROPS endpoint will be re-configured successfully.

Sincerely,

Aryan Garg

Geez....I actually read through that page and at the time I read through it my brain just didn't comprehend it.....it has been one of those days. I just logged into our Skyline Collector and it was in fact the cert that needed to be accepted. Thanks!
