Unable to add vROPS 7.5 endpoint to collector

Hello -

I'm using Collector 2.2 and I am unable to add a vROPs 7.5 endpoint (Build 13165949) to the collector.

vROPs is using vIDM for multi-factor authentication but it uses a password failback in the policy for service account access.

vROPs is using the self-signed certificate from out of the box.

I am able to login as my service account to vROPs and confirmed it has the required access.

The error I get when adding the endpoint in the Collector UI is:

"Endpoint test failed. -> Got error response 400 from server"

I checked the collector.log file on the collector appliance and got a few more error message, but nothing particularly helpful:

"java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 400 for URL: https://myvrops.domain.local/suite-api/api/auth/token/acquire"

Anyone run into this before and have some ideas? Searching the KB and Google really doesn't give me much.

Hello JFCooleBA,

Welcome to Skyline Communities!

To add vROPS as an endpoint, please try adding using admin credentials first.

If this works you may switch it to a normal user account.
