Skyline IP keeps changing back to old/wrong IP

Anyone seen their skyline appliance revert it's IP address after an update or reboot?

Ours has done it twice now.

Happened yesterday with the auto update to version 2.5

The appliance came up with a different IP address then what was set in the setting page.

Change it in the settings page and rebooted, seems fine. Where else could it be hiding an old setting?

I see you have updated the IP address and rebooted Skyline Appliance that worked.

Although It is advisable to use /opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net command in Skyline console for changing network configuration.

You may test changing IP with above command and reboot. Check if the IP address gets changed again.

This looks like an OS issue, Alternatively as a workaround, you can make network configuration file as read-only once configured.

Read-only command.

chmod 444 /etc/systemd/network/10-static-en.network

In future, if you wish to edit you may change the permission back.

chmod 644 /etc/systemd/network/10-static-en.network
