Forgot Skyline root password

Is there a way to reset the Skyline root password if it has been forgoten?

I can not log on to the appliance

Resetting the 'root' password does not require login to the Skyline Collector appliance. Follow these steps from the virtual machine console to reset the 'root' password:

1. Restart the Skyline appliance.
2. From the Console screen of the appliance when you see the PhotonOS splash screen press "e".
3. At the end of the PhotonOS boot command add "rw init=/bin/bash"
4. Press F10 to access to the command prompt
5. Type "passwd" to set the root password
6. Type "reboot -f" to reboot the appliance

where in here do I put hte rw init=/bin/bash?

Place it behind $systemd_cmdline (not exactly the same, but similar to https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2147144​).
