Can't add a vCenter to collector

Hi,

I'm trying to add a vCenter to my collector and it says:

The certificate provided by your vCenter is not valid (Certificate Thumbprint [8e23e1d9adcff00921b94a80220f12c626858ef7]).

Press "CONTINUE" if you would like to continue using an invalid certificate.

When I click continue it just says error 500.  Please help.  Thanks.

Justin

Hi Justin,

Thank you for the information!

Based on our investigation we could find the collector was unable to retrieve its manifest.

We would recommend you reboot the appliance and that should fix the issue.

Hi Justin,

I understand that while adding vCenter endpoint you get error 500.

Can you please confirm if the virtual center has an embedded PSC? Also, can you please share the collector id so that we can assist further.

Hi Srikanth,

It does have an embedded PSC.  My collector id is 924c134b-8da3-3405-9376-0ab2dc74492d.  Thanks.

Hello Justin,

Could you please help us with the below details:

1. Name of the Organization on which you have registered for Skyline.

2. When did you finish the registration?

3. Are you using the same myVMware account which is used to do the registration for Skyline?

4. Is this the first instance that you are trying to register?

That worked.  I guess I should have tried that first.  Thanks.
