We set up Skyline Advisor last week and as-of this morning, 72 hours later, we're still getting the "There was an issue with validating your login credentials against our backend database." Any suggestions on how we resolve this? Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
Finally, We have managed to resolve the issue after re-registering the collector on newly created CSP Org, Access issues to Advisor created a problem due to existing multiple CSP Org's created by Primary registered user and switching to CSP Organization doesn't help to identify the user's access granted to which unique CSP Org.
Step 1) De-register Collector without removing the association of added vCenter Endpoints by following the below command
If the above command does not results successful output, navigate to path cd /usr/local/skyline/ccf/config/generated/ and then execute rm to delete the all .json extension files.
rm *.json
Step 2) Reboot the Collector appliance, this will reset the appliance password, configured proxy, including Registration.
It does not delete any other entries and would keep rest at location /usr/local/skyline/ccf/config/generated/endpoints
Step 3) Log in to Collector http://10.X.X.X/5480 & Change the Default "admin" Password
Step 4) Launch URL Skyline - Getting Started create a new Organization to register the Collector > Follow the steps and choose Next till you get access URL for Advisor.
Note: If any Community user experiencing similar issues, this solution may not apply. When we grant access with [Desired Permissions for Collector as User & for Advisor as Admin Roles.] under Identity & Access Management on CSP Advisor for Internal Employees, they should be able to access the Advisor in next 24-48 hours.
If those users were already added then please request them to access the below Link in Incognito mode https://skyline.vmware.com/advisor?authtype=csp 'or' Skyline Advisor Application Select Option to log in Using CSP ( Ctrl + Shift + N = will launch the chrome in Incognito). Please raise a new query on the community if required further assistance.
