Hi

Certain new capabilities leverage one of the vCenter APIs and part of the process of allowing access to vCenter to use those APIs is in the vCenter Gui in the administration section to specify the IP address (which is not done by default) this is still the same IP as vCenter currently uses but you are specifically enabling vCenter to receive API calls from privileged apps such as HBR, the vSphere web client etc.

So if it asks for you to specify the IP it just needs to be specified in that dialogue box and you are good to go - do you not already have the web client enabled?

Many thanks
