vSphere edition for SRM to work

We currently have vSphere enterprise and are interested in installing SRM. We were told that we needed to have Enterprise Plus for this to work. Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? Is there a white paper out there that talks about which versions are compatible?

Thanks

Ken

Just have found the following info in SRM compatibility matrixes:

SRM 4.0 and 4.0.1 are compatible with:

  • VMware vSphere 4 Standard, Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise Plus editions

  • VMware Infrastructure 3 Enterprise, Foundation, and Standard edition

Enterprise Plus is defenitely not required.

Look at the following threads:

I'm not aware of official document on the subject.
