We used to have licensing for Site Recovery Manager (SRM) but no longer. We do however utilize vSphere Replication (VR).
Following decommissioning of SRM, and deleting the SRM server, VR works fine however still getting error

The SRM server was deleted whilst running vSphere 5.5.
Current version now is vSphere 6.7 U3.
Hi,
I assume that during the deletion of the SRM you did not select the option to "Delete SRM Data" in this case you will have to manually delete the SRM extension from the VC.
You can look at these links how to remove an extension from the VC using MOB:
Hope this helps,
Daniel G
Hi Daniel,
thank you for responding
I had already deleted the SRM extension from the VC via /mob on both vcenters.
I cannot remove the SRM plugin from the VCSA, I am on version 6.7 and this is required for vSphere replication.
Any other suggestions please?
regards
Lynwen
Hi,
did you try the steps from the first link that I provided, because the steps to remove the extension from VCSA should be the same as vCenter Server?
Regards,
Daniel G.
Hi Daniel
yes followed the steps in an attempt to delete the SRM extrension on both vCenters however com.vmware.vcDr is not registered as an extension on either, therefore unclear as to where the messages are originating from ?
thanks
