vSphere Replication Error Another VM has the same UUID

Hi

I have stopped replication for a VM on vSphere 5.5 environment, when i try to configure the replication again, i get this error below:

I have followed the following VMWare KB:

when I try to access VRMS 5.8.1.0 MOB URL: https://IP_address_of_primnary_VRM_server:8043/mob/?moid=GID ??? ... with my parameters i get nothing

Are you including '&vmodl=1' at the end of the MOB URL?

too bad it is still unresolved

I have the same issue.

If you haven't already done so, try using the DR-site Replication MOB also. Usually, this error is caused by a stale entry in only one of the Replication databases. So if it's not showing in the Production site, try the other one.

ok for me.

I found that the GID was to be found from  /opt/vmware/hms/logs/hms.log on the replication server.

look for "ERROR" in that file.
