Our vCenter Service Status is showing an error under VR Management.
"Unable to retrieve health data from https://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/service/hms/cgi/health.py"
This error is pointing at the ip address of our VRMS server. This error is displayed for both our vcenter implementations pointing at our VMRS servers at each location.
hello,
i have the same problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please help!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks
I just got this resolved today, through vmware support. I can't completly describe what all they did to fix the problem. The issue was with the SSL thumbprint of the VRMS servers that were stored in vCenter. I asked if there was a KB article, but was told it was internal only.
I am having the same problem. Can we please have a KB with the fix for this so we do not all have to individually log a job?
Hi folks, this is a problem if the SSL certificate thumbprint used for service health queries has not been updated.
The regular VR traffic thumbprint may be fine, but there is a different service all together that is used for health checks to reflect in the service status.
I've done a blog post outlining the fix, though it's something that will be patched up in the future.

Hope that helps!

Brilliant, thanks Ken, that worked! I wouldn't have worked that out in a month of Sundays!
Just want to pass on my thanks - this worked for me. It only takes 10 or 15 minutes to do - just be careful!
Thanks again
Scott
Will this solution work if your vCenter server is the VCSA?
Thank you.....
