vCenter Recovery Manager Plugin error

Hi everyone,

I have a issue installing SRM Plugin ver.4.0.0 on our production vCenter vSphere (ver.4.0.0 build 208111). I setup SRM with EqualLogic storage replication adapter on another Win2K3 SP2 server. The VMware vCenter Site Recovery Plugin has been installed succesfully until end of installation but on vSphere Plug-in Manager menu status is still "Download and Install ..." And Site Recovery Application is not present in Inventory!

Does anybody had the same issue?

I setup a second SRM server for replication site without any issue.

If you haven't did this already, try the following:

close the vSphere client

go to Add/Remove Programs and remove the SRM plug-in

open the client and install the plug-in again.

What OS runs on the computer you try to install the plug-in on?

Hi Michael,

Win2K3SP2...

I managed to find the error: it was on the level of permissions. When I installed SRM I used a local account and then, I am logged in vCenter with my domain account.

Everything is fine now.
