Given a vApp has Resource pool characteristics, how do we handle inventory mapping of a vApp ?
You don't...
You can recovery VMs that make up a vApp. But there's no mapping of vApp objects at the recovery site to vApps the Protected Site. A bit like with VMware FT, you would have recreate vApp object at the DR location... So VMs contained in a vApp do get recovered as part of the plan - but there's no mapping option for them...
