Have you looked at this: https://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/techpaper/srm5-perf.pdf‌ it is still applicable to 5.5.

Can you elaborate on what do you mean by "best practice to cover SRM between two sites"?

hi

Which type  is best for 50 VM's either  (array based replication or vsphere replication ) we have VMAX replication on both side.

When you ask a new question it is helpful to create a new thread instead of adding to an existing one.

As with many things it depends. I'd recommend reviewing this (SRM - Array Based Replication vs. vSphere Replication - VMware vSphere Blog - VMware Blogs) for the differences between the 2 and see what works for you

Hi Browlin,

My suggestion would be to go for vsphere replication, as your environment has only 50 VM's, array based replication will give good performance, also it's expensive.

One more advantage using vsphere replication is, in future yo have an option to migrate to vSAN as well.

Thanks!
