Will There Ever Be SRM for vSphere 4.0?

So.... Does anyone have a clue as to when there might be a new version of SRM? 2009? 2010? Ever?

VMware isn't going to talk about when they will release a new product...

There is a private beta going on right now.

It should come along once they are pleased with it, and feel it is GA ready.

Yes, I suspect soon. We are currently Beta Testing the 4.0 version which by all accounts is exactly the same look and feel of v1 U1. Installs exactly the same as well. No confirmed date as of yet for GA.

Today we announced the release of Site Recovery Manager 4.0, which includes support for vSphere 4. It is available for eval and download today as well. See http://www.vmware.com/support/srm/srm_releasenotes_4_0.html for the details in the release notes.

Thanks for your patience and your interest in this release,

Jon
