Will SRM work with vSphere, esx4?

heard something about a 64bit requirement as well as 4Q in order for this to work....is this correct?

we are in the process of deciding whether we need to go ahead and get srm now and then upgrade it later to support esx4, or hurry up and wait for srm to support vsphere.

thx

vSphere is 64BIT only indeed. SRM, no word on that yet.

vSphere 4.0 is x64 bit as we all know, but if you need to implement SRM for your DR solution, I would start contact your sales account manager and get some straight details when will SRM supported with vSphere or when will SRM next release be and going to support vSphere. DR is so critical part of business continuity and can't just wait for next support revisions. I'm not sure where your ESX 3.5 environment stands, but if its a new build I would plan it carefully so you don't have spend time upgrade them. As far as I know, vSphere 4.0 upgrade phases made it so easy and simple so there's no issue there in the future. Only concern is when SRM next version will be release so you can have all supported solutions.

As I understand it there will be a beta build at the beginning of July which will be compatible with vSphere4.

But no word on the GA date. But that's not unusual...
