Virtual Center use with SRM

I am planning our SRM implementation and understand I need 1 virtual center server in each site. Right now I have a single virtual center server that manages both sites.

Am I correct to assume that I need to have only the hosts in one site attached to the virtual center server in that same site and the same on the other side?

Right now I am able to shut down a VM in one site and do a cold migration from one datacenter to another. My understanding is I will lose this functionality by going to a multiple virtual center configuration. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Yes, that's correct....

One VC at the Protected Site. One VC at the Recovery Site.

As an ESX host cannot be member of two VCs, at the same time - you won't be able do cold-migrates across the two...

Perhaps - exporting to the OVF format, and importing using OVF is an alternative....
