Vcenter and SRM database question

I have a scenario where we have a sql cluster that will be protected by SRM and replicated to the DR site. What issues if any would be encountered during a DR event if Vcenter and SRM databases are installed on the cluster that will be shutdown replicated and restarted in the DR site?  I have always installed these databases on the local non-replicated Vcenter servers.

Would the database going down cause a issue with SRM?

Thanks!

The short answer is yes, it would likely cause the DR event to fail. For SRM to function correctly, it needs connectivity to it's supported database.

Here is how SRM works. During a DR event, the DR site would manage the failover process, not the protected site. As long as the DR site has connectivity to the database, the operation will continue. You will want your database to reside in a location that is accessible by the DR site during failover. Hope this helps!
