Vcenter SRM MSSQL setup

HHiI currently have one vcenter running on the same server as the ms SQL database.

i would like to install Srm and another vcenter as required by the Srm sofware.

my question is do the 2 vcenter server shard the same database, or are they mirrored to each, or do they act independently.

i can't find any this about this on the web,. I have see doc on running 2 vcenter a server running on a common database.

but I am concern about failure.

any help would be great.

thanks in advance for your time

Each vCenter instance and each SRM instance requires its own database. They are not shared, but can be located on the same SQL Server as two unique databases per site. I would definitely split them along the physical boundaries of the sites, as you mentioned.
