VRMS error after configuring connection

I am at the step with SRM and configuration vmware's replication where you deploy a VRMS at each site, and then you configure VRMS connection.  I do the configure, it runs through the process, and then indicates it successfully completed.  If I look at the "summary" of each site, it shows the VRMS server names for each, and they both show "connected" in the status.
However, without fail, after a few minutes an error comes up regarding the remote/target site VRMS that says:
"No client connectoin to VRM server for drvcenter SRM (Remote)"
[Tue, 10:30 AM] The request failed because the remote server 'drvrms01.domainname.com' took too long to respond. (The command has timed out as the remote server is taking too long to respond.)(The command has timed out as the remote server is taking too long to respond.)
[Tue, 10:31 AM] Lost connection to remote VRMS server at drvrms01.domainname.com:8043.(Unable to connect to server. The server at https://drvrms01.domainname.com:8043/ exceeded the timeout threshold for service requests.)
