Using the same network for recovery and test

Hi

Is it actually possible to use the same network for recovery and test? I get an error when I try it. I am on a vDS and works fine when I select different DV port group or use auto but not when the networks are the same.

You should be able to use the same network.

I've done it in the past.

what is the error you're receiving?

Error - Internal error: std::exception 'class

Vmacore::Exception' "Network [vim.Network:dvportgroup-231] is not connected to

host [vim.HostSystem:host-105]".

This is what i get when I specify the same network for recovery and test. It seems it may be related to one particular port group.
I have tested by using a different port group and specified that port group for both recovery and test network and I get no issues there.

So you are absolutely correct that it is possible. Now I just have to figure out why it does not work with that particularport group
