I have vCenter running 4.1 with SRM 4 currently in place and working. I would like to upgrade to vCenter 5. Will SRM 4 work on vCenter 5 until I am able to upgrade that?
Hi,
SRM 4 wont work on vCenter 5.0
So before upgrading vCenter you will have to plan the upgrade very carefully so that any existing systems to not get affected.
So I would prefer you first to upgrade SRM to 5.0 and then upgrade vCenter to 5.0
Use below link for vcenter and SRM upgrade to 5.0:

Check if here you have option to choice SRM with VCENTER http://partnerweb.vmware.com/comp_guide2/sim/interop_matrix.php?
I didnt realize you could use SRM 5 with vCenter 4.1... I'm not sure why the consultants didn't just have us go to it in the first place!
Hi
I am agree with you and also kapil already posted compatibility chat list , so you can not use .

Right. I spoke to VMware support and they said I can upgrade vCenter and keep SRM 4 running until I am able to upgrade it...
Thanks!
