Unable to login to VRM MOB site

Hi All,

I'am needing to login to the VRM mob site https://<primaryvrmserver>:8043/mob but I'm having no luck logging in.

Anyone come across this and what account worked for you?

Thanks.

Hi,

You need to use vCenter credentials.

The username is case sensitive and if there is domain part, it must be typed exactly as resolved by vCenter.

Try using username exactly as reported at https://vcenter_address/mob/?moid=SessionManager&doPath=currentSession

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the response, I did read that in the kb article VMware KB: Enabling Replication for a virtual machine may fail due to stale replication group GIDs i... but all the creds I try that I know work fail...nothing works.

I can login to the vSphere Replication Appliance on port 5480 without issue using the root account, but on port 8043 it just won't accept any creds.

The fix for this guys is the for example to remove a GID from both the primary and secondary VRMs.

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=206503...

The login needs to match exactly the case of what is being used in the current session of the vCenter MOB.   To find this go to the following location.

To find the user click on the following.

https://<VC_address>/mob

Login with an admin

Go to content > session manager > current session and scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the correct user which should be used and you need to match the upper/lower case exactly.
