Hello,
I'm new to site recovery manager. I would like to understand if "Replication Adapter" is required to site recovery manager functionality. I wan to test SRM in a lab environment and I got two Openfiler iSCSI SANs that are configured with DRBD and my VMs are replicating. As far as I know, there's no Replication Adaptor available for Openfiler. I would like to know if I'll be able to test SRM functionality without replication adapter. Thank you!
Alex
I just found one post on here that says that you need SRA and that there's no SRA for openfiler. I guess now I'm just wondering if there are any free storage solutions that I can use for testing purposes, that are supported by SRM.
nevermind, found my answer here:
Welcome to the forums - Yes the Site Recovery Adapter is needed for SRM - Since you are looking to test I look at the Lefthand VSA - http://www.virtuallifestyle.nl/2008/11/vmware-site-recovery-manager-with-lefthand-vsa/
