Site REcovery Manager (SRM) Backups

Staffs in our storage and backup group need to know if there are any special considerations for backing up a VM with SRM installed.  Would the standard file server backup be sufficient?

The database resides on another server.

Hi,

Afaik, the most important to backup in a SRM implementation is the SRM database. Also, consider backing up the VRMS database if you use vSphere Replication. This way you can rebuild the SRM infra in a reasonable amount of time.

Hi,

No special considerations needed for the application server. As Marek said, DB is much more important.
