SRM- vSphere replication- Register VR Server error

SRM- vSphere replication-

When i try to register my VRMS as a VR server, I get this error.

Unable to register VR server

TCP connection to server 10.0.0.x:8123 failed

I cannot telnet to the VRMS on 8123 so it must be blocked.  There is no firewall, VC Windows firewall is also disabled.

This is a fresh install with no configuration changes at all.

Any ideas?

Mmm, are you sure you have route to the VR from the VC to VR... also your ESX hosts will need a route from the Protected Site to the Recovery - send update via the ESX VR Agent to the VR in the recovery site.

I don't have my SRM lab stood up so I can't test this... but can you try teleneting to another port that might be open like 22/443/80...

You TCP connect problems might be more fundmental than just firewalls and such like...
