SRM failover - customize IP (srm5.0.2)

All,

I have been testing failovers before it goes into production.

I have been having issues with the customization of the IPs.

We have linux VMs

I noticed that the default value for cusomization is 600 secs. If I am reviewing the proper config, Mine is set to 600 sec.

I am receiving the error"

Error Connecting to VM vm-135: Operation timed out after '20.000000' seconds

any help would be great!!!

thanks

RHEL 6

srm5.0.2

in my srm4 environment I am only running SUSE vm's so I will try a SUSE vm, but  I could of swarm it has worked before.

It is a new setup so I'm in testing phase trying to acquaint myself with this version before placing into production.

i Do not know if I'm not setting something up incorrectly like the network mapping.. I believe I have it right... this version take some getting use to.

when it fails, I have to uncheck the ip customization for the failover to compete successfully.

Hi,

Check this list and see if your RHEL version is supported for ip-customization or not. Compatibility Matrices for vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.0 and Later

Also are you configuring ip address for MAC address or Ethernet adapter as mention in this KB http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=103631...

Also can you get the vmware-dr.log with trivia level of logging for SRM, I can have look at it.

Well it appears my version of Red Hat is supported

I am not using mac based buit rather I'm using Ethernet adapter

Not sure how you do trivial logging?

I know where the log you requested is. But how do you enable trivial?

Thanks

I may have spoken too soon,

The VM I checked the version of RHEL was not our standard version.

We are running RHEL6.4

This is not on the matrix list…
