SRM and different versions of ESXi at DC & DR

Hi

Can SRM5 run with different versions of ESXi/ESX at DC & DR(say I have ESXi 5.1 at DC and ESXi 4.0 /ESX at the DR)?Should Vcenter also be of identical versions

Thanks

Hi Sumesh,

You can use  this link to check compatibility of ESXi, vCenter , database and  SRM . If   ESX  is compatibile with version of SRM that you want to use then it should not matter

Hi,

You should be OK as long as you maintain the same version of SRM at both sites but check the compatibility matrix as suggested above.

Cheers!

You versions of vCenter and SRM need to be the same level at both sites, however you will be able to support different versions of ESX (as long as they are supported in vCenter), unless you are using VMware Replication instead of SAN Array base Replication.
