SRM and MAC addressing

hi,

does anyone knows what to expect after failover i means on MAC addressing?

will i keep the original ones (benefits of the placeholder) or the dr vc allocate a new one (assuming automatic MAC is enabled)

Hi,

In my environment (vSphere 4.1 U1), I can see that MAC addresses stay the same after failover (with automatic MAC addressing).

I am not sure about the previous versions, they may behave differently.

BTW, placeholder VMs have same MACs as protected VMs even that their MAC is automatic. Not sure how this works.
