SRM and FT

Hi All,

I have a number of VMs in FT mode at one site. These VMs are also protected with SRM for failover to another site.

My question is in the event of a failover when the VMs are powered on at the opposite site will they automatically run in FT mode or does FT have to be re-enaled?

If the former does this also happen when running SRM in test mode?

Thanks

Hi,

No, you will have to manually reconfigure them:

Support for Protecting Fault-Tolerant Virtual Machines.
SRM can now protect virtual machines that have been configured for  fault-tolerant operation. When recovered, these virtual machines lose  their fault tolerance, and must be manually reconfigured after recovery  to restore fault tolerance.
