SRM With SAS connections

hi,

I am going to make a proposal for a DC & DR site with vcenter Site Recovery manager. We use IBM DS3524 (firmware version 7.84.44.00) storage with SAS connections to the hosts. vmware says SRM supports only with ISCSI and Fibre channel. So can i do the SRM replication with SAS connections. please update me asap guys.

thanks

That is a thought,  and it could possibly fly.  another option would be to look at Zerto.

No you will not be able to use SRM,  the fact that you ahve SAS connections means that you are using DAS (direct attached storage) rather than a shared storage.

That said, I am moving this post to the dedicated SRM section to enable it to be seen by the great and the good of the SRM community.

You could potentially use SRM with vSphere Replication I would guess...
