SRM Recovery Plan Export/Import

Looking to migrate from one instance of SRM to another.  Trying to understand if there is a way to backup a recovery plan and restore it without the SQL db side of things?  Also would be moving from 4.1 of SRM to 5.1

Hi,

AFAIK, it is not possible. You can preserve the configurations during upgrade but not during migration to another instance.

What kind of info do you want to transfer? What complex is your SRM setup? Do you move to the new vCenter too?

Also, I would highly recommend to not try dealing with SRM DB:

1. First of all it is not supported

2. There are differences in DBs between SRM 4 and 5

3. You don't really know the actual DB structure and dependencies between tables
