SRM is installed, both sites are paired, SRAs are installed and found at both sites, however we cannot currently configure Array Managers on either sites within our test setup due to connection problems to the VNX5300s. We receive this error message:
SRA command 'discoverArrays' failed. Unable to locate enabler for input connection information. Verify the Management IP/Hostname and credentials.
Mirrorview replication and NFS replication are setup and running in our production network.
The ESXi Servers within the test network can locate the VNX systems within the EMC Storage Viewer vCenter plugin. Using the VSI plugin it is possible to see the correct information for the different datastores.
The test network is separate from the production network, but has a hole in the firewall to be able to access the two VNX 5300. We can ping the two VNX 5300s from the test network but cannot connect via http or any other ports. We are fairly certain our firewall is not causing any problems here!
In our test SRM setup we currently have at the following:
Protected Site
- EMC VNX 5300 - with Mirrorview replication and NFS Replication (located on production network)
- vCenter 5.5 Virtual Appliance (located on test network)
- SRM Server - (located on test network) Installed with:
- Navisphere CLI
- EMC Solution Enabler (Not configured yet, not entirely sure it is necessary?)
- EMC VNX SRA for VMWare vCenter SRM5
- EMC Mirrorview Enabler for VNX SRA
- EMC VNX Replicator Enabler for VNX SRA
- VMWare vCenter SRM
Disaster Site
- EMC VNX 5300 - with Mirrorview replication and NFS Replication (located on production network)
- vCenter 5.5 Virtual Appliance (located on test network)
- SRM Server (located on test network) - Installed with:
- Navisphere CLI
- EMC Solution Enabler (Not configured yet, not entirely sure it is necessary?)

We cannot see where on the VNX 5300 we can enable access from the test network, or if there is something very obvious we are missing for the test network to have access to the VNX 5300.
Also we are not sure whether it is necessary to have the solution enabler installed on the srm servers or not. If it is necessary, will we also need the solution enabler virtual appliances at both sites? Does anyone have any good links for setting this up if it is needed?
