SRM 5.8 , when production site is down i can't startup recovery plan

Hi guys.

I recently installed vCenter 5.5 update 2 + Site Recovery Manager 5.8 (last releases) over Compellent Storage Adaptar.

So, i create a virtual machine and protected with Site Recovery Manager and Array Adapter method. test recovery works fine.

But when i shutdown vcenter production site and connected into vcenter remote site, i can't enable recover task.

Something wrong, maybe, but i don't know. Both vcenter servers are linked.

Any ideas?

Greetings.

Hi,

Would it be possible for you, to go to the summary page of the selected site and see what happens there - upload a screen-shot of the portlet with the connection status.

(You might hide the addresses.)

One more - what happens, if you try using the tree views - go to the plans at the inventory tree?

Select the plan and go to its summary page: are you seeing the status of the plan and any other information of the plan?

Regards,

Angelina

Hi guys.

Finally it's is a bug :smileyshocked: . Vmware support team confirms that it's is a bug.  If vcenter are in linked mode, and one of them is down, SRM doesn't works.

Workarround: disable linked mode.

Greetings.
